That is awesome. The tiles and the lip on the coping don't cause you to lose control of your skateboard ?

has any one ever used the pour in place method? its alot cheaper and easier, but its kinda messy. and for those who dont know about the duct tape on the toes, knee slides tear up the tops of your shoes, so lots of vert guys will tape up the toes so the tops of the shoes will last as long as the soles

Where could I find Penrose coping ? I live in Louisiana, and have tried quite a few places, maybe I'm asking for the wrong thing, does it go by any other name?

Penrose is a brand name and the company is in So Cal. You'd pay top dollar for shipping, but they do ship. To keep costs reasonable just find a local east coast swimming pool manufacturing company and find out where they get their coping. Get out the yellow pages and you'll find lots of options.

do you have any pics of the underside of the board you glued the Pool coping to? A friend of mine is putting pool coping on his ramp, and i've not used the simpson fasteners you have there. I'd like to get an idea of how to attach them to the frame.

For my ramp I used L-brackets to fasten the bottom boards down. With the rebuilt, I just screwed the wood down from the top and used liquid nails and glued right on top of the screws. Unless you want the ability to shift the coping around, I'd just glue on top of the screws. Even gluing on top of the screws, the coping will come right up with a pry bar and a bit of patience.
