Peter and Mike's version of the "R.P.D.O. mini II"
Peter Ball: I just finished building the RPDO mini II. I scaled it down a bit (because of limited material) but its basically the same. we built the exact same transition and everything, but its only 8 feet wide.
here's the material we used:
- 3 4x8 sheets of 3/4" plywood (for transitions)
- 5 4x8 sheets of 5/16" chipboard (masonite) (1st layer) [RPDO: not sure why they used masonite? or chipboard? for the first layer, but that's what they wrote]
- 5 4x8 sheets of 1/2" plywood (top layer)
- 40 pieces of 8' long 2x4
- 5 lbs of 1 5/8" drywall screws
- 2 8' pieces of pipe about 1-1/2" diameter (coping)
- 11 railway ties
we built it in about 5 days and its fun as hell to ride...thanks doing such an awesome site. Here are some pics!!
